With so much to see and do in
Orlando, we have put together some important not-to-be-overlooked tips to help you  prepare for the BEST Orlando Theme Park  Adventure!

1.) Pack Sunscreen

Orlando/Kissimmee has a tropical climate and receives year-round, direct sunlight. The sunlight is intense, especially in the summer months, and can burn unprotected visitors in as little as 15 minutes.

Rain or shine, you don’t want to spend time outside without sunscreen protection. Cool and cloudy days can easily fool you. Most people don’t  realize 80 percent of the sun’s UV rays pass through the clouds, even on cool and cloudy days, leaving some with serious sunburns. Pack a heavy-duty sunscreen with at least a 30 SPF. For fair skin, consider SPF 50.

2.) Pack Comfortable Shoes

Comfortable walking shoes are a must-have for any Orlando theme park adventure! Plan to be on your feet all day, so you’ll need your favorite sneakers or your most comfortable, light and supportive footwear.

3.) Relaxed Clothing

The dress is mostly casual in Orlando tourist destinations, and especially at our world famous theme parks. If you are visiting in the warmer months, the sun can be intense, and expect to experience intense heat and humidity. July is the wettest and hottest month with an average of 92F. Be sure to pack light-weight comfortable clothes like shorts, tee shirts and sundresses. Depending on your tolerance to heat, you may consider wearing lighter colors while outside, because darker colors are known to attract heat.

If you plan to visit in the cooler months, December and January, prepare for average temperatures to reach approximately 70F. On the coldest nights, the low can average 20F to 40F.

No matter the season, it’s always a clever idea to pack a light cardigan or sweatshirt to wear indoors. Restaurants and many tourist attractions keep it very cool inside and you may get a bit chilly, especially after a long day outside.

4.) Pack a Fanny pack

Now we’re not suggesting fanny packs as a fashion statement, but when it comes to Orlando theme parks, fanny packs rule.  They’ll hold everything you need (lipstick, cards, hand sanitizer, phone, band aids, snacks), are lightweight, easy to get through security and leave your hands free to pick up a child or take a photo.
